The primary trade union organization of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University organized the rehabilitation and recreation for children of employees in summer. Oleksandr Osadchiy, the Head of the Trade Union, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, noted that there was a number of measures taken to improve and strengthen the physical and psychological health of children and restore their vitality, prevent negligence and offer opportunities for continuing education and develop their creative abilities within summer recreation campaign 2014.

Providing high quality recreation for the children on summer holidays was a priority for the trade union in the implementation of social policy. Thus, during the vacation period the trade union committee of the University fully paid for recreation of 35 children of employees in a school camp, partially compensated the cost of permits (40 percent) for children in children's camps "Mriya" in the city of Cherkasy and "Brigantine" in Novoarkhangelsk Kirovograd Oblast. Due to the Social Insurance Fund, the cost of recreation in a few children’s camps was partially covered. Additional charges for parents were only 10% of the cost. In the children's camps, which are part of the social environment, children can realize their potential, the need for individual, physical and social compensation. Children who rest in these camps have been happy because they had the conditions for the development of their abilities to meet individual needs and the needs of self-realization.

The young people have improved their in those summer health practices. Visiting different parts of our country the students have improved their abilities of object-practical activities, to learn what to do in definite life situations and to build their own relationships. In total, about 500 students have done their recreation due to the UAH 12400 allocated by the trade union. The students were recreated in Transcarpathia Carpathians, including the "Bukovel" resort in Belgorod Dniester, "Juvileyniy" sports and recreation camp in the village of Stepashky Vinnytsia Oblast.

The summer has passed leaving behind a pleasant experience.
