Cooperation of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University with the International Children's Center "Artek-Bukovel" has been going on for years. Many students of our university were able to relax and work in this wonderful camp, experience the beauty of Ukrainian Carpathians and the incredible atmosphere of collective creativity, collaboration, unforgettable adventures and discoveries of secrets and surprises, creativity and drive.
This year our students also had the opportunity to qualify for the "School of Guide" of children's camp "Artek-Bukovel". The first phase took place in early April on the basis of our university. The director of "Artek-Bukovel" Liubov Ivanova and methodist of scientific and methodological department Elvina Svitlychna had been training students. During the workshops the international children's center staff acquainted students with the peculiarities of teacher-organizer training, the specifics of its activities in the children's camp "Artek-Bukovel" and conducted organizational and educational games. In the first qualifying round 32 our best students were invited to become members of the second phase of the "School of Guide", based on the tourist sports complex "Bukovel".
The final phase of training began on May 26 and runs to June 2. The most important tasks facing the students are to aquire new and deepen the existing knowledge required for professional work in the children's camp "Artek-Bukovel"; to exchange of experience, new ideas development; to create conditions for the development of innovative projects, technologies, methods of teaching in the field of children's health and recreation; to develop organizational and communication skills, the ability to make a creative atmosphere.
Eight training days students have been living like children. Morning exercises, sports, music, psychological lessons, educational games, competitions, art contests, quests, presentations, songs around the campfire are the things the students learn themselves and give to children. Through various forms of work - teaching workshops, trainings, organizational, educational, business and role-playing games, psychological training, creative workshops, methodical counseling, testing are the things for guides to facilitate their individual professional growth, self-development and professional observation capacity for teaching analysis; the successful presentation of equity and collective achievements.
We hope that our students easily pass this important training phase and will receive certificates of «School of Guides” (they are issued to participants who have successfully completed the course) and invitation to work in “Artek-Bukovel”.
