Pedagogical probation period is one of the most important parts of professional training of future teachers. Different kinds of pedagogical probation period contribute to student as a future specialist development process, help to gain profeciency in work with children at educational establishments of different types, get first pedagogical experience. Thus, students of some departments of our university had a possibility to spend their pedagogical probation period at State enterprise “Ukrainian Children centre “Young Guards”.

Children centre “Young Guards” is situated in Odessa on the seacoast of Black Sea. There are different limatic areas which are rich in vegetable species (steppe nothern Black Sea resort). Vegetation makes each season of the year exotic and unforgettable. The basis of pedagogical program is the maximum use of natural and climatic conditions.

For many years this establishment makes youngsters happy, presents pleasant meetings, unforgettable impressions, good mood and friendly relationships. There are camps “Soniachnyi (Sunny)”, “Zorianyi (Stars)” and “Pryberezhnyi (Seacoast)” in the Ukrainian Children centre (the oldest is “Morskyi (Maritime)” which is on reconstruction now).

Almost 2 months our university students Svitlana Onishchuk (Physics and Mathematics Department), Sofia Solomaha and Yevgen Kononenko (History Department) and students-philologists Victoria Orlenko and Maria Shved worked in the camp “Zorianyi (Stars)” and as a teachers of secondary general education school of I-III grades, which is a part of State enterprise “Ukrainian Children centre “Young Guards” for children who improve their health.

Learning at “Young Guards” is like a dialogue and collaboration of children and adults, where democracy in spiritual values, freedom in self-development prevails. Schoool works according to special curriculum, made on the basis of state curriculum by Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and in accordance with season school peculiarities. Subjects are taught in accordance with Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine programs. Educational process is carried out in the atmosphere of mutual understanding, friendliness and emotional concord.

“Young Guards” is a valuable experience for future pedagogue, possibility for self development, to get positive impressions from communication with children, interesting leisure activities”, - says Svitlana Onishchuk, 4th year student of Physics and Mathematics Department.
