Lecturers and students of Ukrainian Philology Department traditional organize charity events befor New Year’s Day for children who require care and attention. Such an aim pursued students
of Ukrainian Philology Department, dean in educational work Natalia Mamchur; they visited Ladyzhyn special general educational school for disabled children.

The visit to Ladyzhyn School impressed and influenced the students.

The concert program began with a wonderful journey into New Year’s fairy tale. Children were happy and merry, they laughed and had fun of actor’s playing – they admired Father Frost, played with Snow Maiden, roistered with Baba-Yaga.

Students were dancing with children. Each came up to the Father Frost, recited a poem and whispered New Year’s wish. The children were pleased and happy, nobody was left without a present.

On the occasion of Christmas holidays children received different kinds of sweets. The pupils got also stationery, sport equipment.

After the performance, workers of the school thanked administration of the department, Student Council, headed by Diana Podreza and Natalia Mamchur for organization of the holiday and presents. The most touching was gratitude from kids and their smiles.

Friendship between students of Ukrainian Philology Department and pupils of the school will be prolonged, as children need everyday love, care, attention, understanding and protection.

A first-year student, group 11 Alina Yagufarova shared her impressions, “When we first entered the child house, we had mixed feelings. To tell the truth, I was worried as we don’t visit children everyday that lack mother’s care.

We don’t have much time to sue costumes, learn the scenario by heart because we have our examination period now. My heart was beating more quickly, when I saw curious children eyes. They were applauding and waiting for Snow Maiden. Agitation disappeared soon after my appearance. I wanted the only thing: to present them warmth and joy of the holiday. And we’ve done it!

What I remember the most was a girl, called Snizhanna, she went to the bus to ask if fairy tales heroes will come back in one year. We promised her that her dream will come true and now we can’t forget about this promise”.

It is the truth that good deeds always turn back. So, let’s do good deeds!!!
