In USPU was held an event – military rank of junior lieutenant of reserve awarding of our students who study at Military Services Chair of Sumy State University and Odessa Military Academy.
In the festival participated first pro-rector of the university Andriy Gedzyk, pro-rector in scientific and pedagogical work Olena Kirdan, head of chair at Odessa Military Academy, general lieutenant Anatoliy Kalashnikov, deputy director of Odessa Military Academy, colonel Oleg Lisovyi, head of Military Services Chair at Sumy State University Mykola Lyapa, head of military subdivision and civil protection headquarters of USPU Igor Gorbonos, participator in ATO, mayor Sergiy Zavertanyi, deans of departments, lecturers, students and their friends.
With a minute of silence were honored perished military men and peaceful inhabitants in the East of Ukraine.
Head of military subdivision and civil protection headquarters of USPU Igor Gorbonos read Order of Minister of Defence of Ukraine about rank awarding of 97 students of the university in the following specialties: operational application of aero-mobile and artillery subdivisions.
The ceremony of awarding was realized by deputy director of Odessa Military Academy, colonel Oleg Lisovyi and head of Military Services Chair at Sumy State University Mykola Lyapa. The students of military school took an oath: “I serve to the Ukrainian nation!” This procedure rouse warm feelings in the hearts of present.
Congratulating all he future defenders of the Motherland on great event in the history of the university, first pro-rector of the university Andriy Gedzyk stressed moral values, as junior lieutenant military rank awarding impersonates valour and heroism of our nation generations. He wished the cadets to realize all their possibilities, use their juvenile flame and enthusiasm, regenerate the military fame of independent Ukraine! Andriy Mykolayovych expressed gratitude on behalf of reсtor Oleksandr Besludniy expressed gratitude to scientific workers, leaders of Military Services Chair at Sumy State University Odessa Military Academy for the collaboration.
Head of Military Academy’s Chair Anatoliy Kalashnikov thanked USPU for collaboration and wished the boys and the girls to get a lot of knowledge at the university.
The parting speech made head of military chair of Sumy State University, colonel Mykola Lyapa, who said “I esteem it an honour to be at USPU. Sumy, Odessa, Uman are far away from each other, but we can feel that Ukraine is Unitary!”
Participator in ATO, mayor Sergiy Zavertanyi wished students of USPU that they never have an occasion to use their military knowledge in their life, but to have peaceful future!
Junior lieutenant Diana Sobianina thanked the teachers and wished her fellow students to have an angel-defender. She presented a video on their studies and leisure activities.
National ensemble of contemporary dance “Vizavi”, ensemble of national dance “Yavoryna”, soloist of folklore ensemble “Sofia”, student of Ukrainian Philology Department Tetyana Khlivna and student of Department of Arts Rymma Tymoshenko presented their performances for the cadets, their teachers and all the present.
In the end of the festival all the guests, parents, friends congratulated cadets on awarding, wished them peace, self-confidence and happy future to our Motherland.
