In 2013 the Economics Department started cooperation with one of the largest international tour operators «TEZ TOUR». Therefore, the students have the opportunity to undergo training abroad, namely in Turkey. Thanks to the joined efforts of the Management and Regional Director of «TEZ TOUR» in Turkey, three USPU students - Avramenko Vladyslav, Kravets Snizhana and Shepeleva Ludmyla left for their internship in Turkey on April 1. There they will learn the operation of tourism infrastructure, provide a shuttle service, work as hotel guides and managers, utilize the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice in the area of Belek - Side - Alanya.

Students share their impressions:

- The modern Turkey impresses us with two images - a Europe in Asia, and Asia to Europe. One can understand Turkey only having spent there a long period of time and become acquainted with various segments of the population. The foreign practice we were lucky to undergo gives the opportunity to develop the tourism sector.

«TEZ TOUR» company values the service which is the foundation of all its philosophy. It is clear that tourism is a commercial activity in a highly competitive market and in order to attract a customer it is necessary to create all the conditions to meet his/her needs. Every employee of «TEZ TOUR» should emphasize the image of the company as a leader and provide the guests with professional service at the highest level. We familiarized ourselves with the work of the transfer guide and realized how multifaceted it was. The main responsibilities include meeting tourists at the airport and accompanying them to the hotel and then getting them back together and delivering them to the airport. This work requires professional knowledge and skills. That is why «TEZ TOUR» organizes training seminars and workshops for the interns on their arrival. Professional trainings for future employees explain the essence of this work; the psychologists help the new employees to open up and overcome the difficulties of public speaking. The short courses on the history of Turkey and the basics of the Turkish language are also offered. The workshops efficiently prepare future employees because they are responsible for the first and last impression of the company. A guide should combine professional service and a skill of earning money for the employer. A guide begins advertising the company's product which can be purchased from the representative in the hotel. This is the main objective pursued by the travel agency in the country which invites tourists.
