On the World Day of the Earth, 20th of March, at the university took place a competitive exhibition of student ecological ware under the motto “A Second Birth to Waste Products!” The competition was organized by scientific and research laboratory “Ecology and Education” (director – candidate of biological sciences Ganna Goncharenko). The purpose of the event was youth’s ecological outlook development, students’ involvement into environmental protection activities by creation of original works from wasted products.

In the competition participated second- forth year students from Natural Science and Geography Department and fifth year students from History Department. The audience examined with pleasure ware from plastic battles, cellophane bags, serviettes, paper trays, plastic plates and dishes, compact disks, and other materials. The ware were estimated under the following criteria: originality, aesthetic appearance, practical value, variety of used wasted products.

The students demonstrated the possibility to give a second life and create beautiful and useful things.
