Excursion of the students from Turkmenistan to the university library funds was Interesting and exciting. They had an excellent opportunity to plunge into the world of thousands of books: to hold a rarity in the hands, go down to the book depository, walk between the shelves of books.

It should be noted that the total number of library resources is 410442 copies, which differ by type (books and brochures, periodicals, magazines, newspapers, electronic publications, unpublished documents). The majority of library resources published in the state language, while others in foreign. They are grouped by purpose (scientific, educational, literary and artistic publications), as well as rare and valuable documents. Annually the library updated by over 9 thousand copies of educational and scientific literature. Over 10,000 readers used the library, and more than 600,000 documents had been given out.

The library of USPU kept private collections of books, brochures and abstracts of such outstanding persons as: linguist Stepan Bevzenko, folklorist Ivan Vlasenko, linguist ValentynaKarpova, literary critic Tetiana Mayevska and also the Library of Institute of Linguistics named after A. Potebnya.

Library staff pay much attention to cultural and educational work, helping to popularize Ukrainian books. In educational work library uses both time-tested and new approaches, implements new directions and forms of cultural work. One of these is an open review of literature that librarians made for foreign students.
