Recently, at the meeting of Student Council of Cherkassy Regional State Administration was chosen a new leader of students self-government body.

Director of the Education and Science Department at Regional State Administration Valeriy Danylevskiy welcomed all the present student leaders and laid the stress on the importance of students – “the most progressive and dynamic element of society.

In the event participated deputy director of the Education and Science Department at Regional State Administration Igor Voloshyn; he announced the following “Student Council at Regional State Administration is consultative and advisory body that is efficient and should work for a long time”. He also appealed to all the present to help in making up a plan of events for the youth policy to stimulate Cherkassy society to join social processes.

In the meeting were discussed the main principles of the activity, forms of work, legislation of Student Council functioning. Before voting, the candidates for a post of Cherkassy region Student Council head presented their programs, told about experience of Student Council organization.

Candidates for a post in Student Council mentioned the main principles and priorities of its activity. Among them were: versatile development of a personality, attraction to taking active part in social processes, development of young specialists’ potential, collaboration and probation period in authority, support of creative youth.
As a result of secret voting head of Student Council at Regional State Administration was chosen a student of Cherkassy State Technical University Ivan Iskimzhi, deputy heads – Yulia Pokholyuk (Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University), Vasyl Dunayevskiy (B. Khmelnytskiy Cherkassy National University), Polina Shevchenko (Cherkassy Commercial Technical College). Secretary of the Council was chosen a student of “University of Banking” at Cherkassy educational and scientific institute Victoria Sisetska.
