Murmur fade away, light was switched off in the hall,
And suddenly, captivating all emotions,
A curtain moved apart… and a bloom
Of life, which like a tale, and the tale is like a life.
On the 25th of March on occasion of 15th anniversary of Student National Theatre of Drama and Comedy and International Day of Theatre in the assembly hall of of the university was held a first night of the film-performance “In fashion” after M. P. Starytskyi’s play.
The event of theatre arts and culture has begun with official part, during which congratulations and wishes were sent to the members of the group and its director, stage director Nataliia Alekseeva.
The event presenters, university theatre’s actors Anna Kudla and Oleksandr Scherback reminded the history of foundation, theatre group formation and its creative achievements.
A lot of pleasant words were adressed that day to university theatregoers. They received thanks for their mastery, talented performed roles, emotionality, prosperity and successful staging.
The welcoming speech was made by acting rector Oleksandr Bezlyudnyi, head of trade union committee Oleksandr Osadchyi, dean of Primary Education Department Borys Yakymchuk, the main specialist of Uman Culture and Tourism Department Nelia Petrychenko.
That day members of student theatre were rewarded with honorary diplomas for active participation in creative life of the university, masterly performed roles at films and performances, actor individuality and on occasion of 15th anniversary of theatre foundation.
By power of attorney of Cherkasy region trade union committee of educational and scientific workers of Ukraine Oleksandr Osadchyi handed in honorary diplomas and material rewards to director of the theatre Nataliia Alekseeva and video operator Oksana Dovgan.
The festive part of the event was prolonged by the performance of the university graduating students, who were members of the theatre in past. Galyna Drozdenko and Alyona Vesnianko thanked Nataliia Dmytrivna, a talented organiser and leader, for her work and striving for students talents formation; they wished the theatre group success and creative development.
The festive event was prolonged by a first night of the play “In fashion”, which was shot in the village of Krasnogirka of Trostianets district, Vinnytsia region in May, 2014.
The audience was plunged in national traditions and customs, life changes, human emotions, talented actor games, bright costumes, Ukrainian songs, light and goodness. Each actor while watching a film remembered shooting of the film with a smile.
Both the film and staging were delightful. There were true Ukrainian house with embroided towels and icons, nature and song’s performing by folklore ensemble “Beregynia”.
The theatre event came up to the end, filling up everybody with joy, pleasure, and feelings from beauty, but the work of the university theatregoers is continued and we’ll be waiting passionately for new stagings.
