The students of USPU attended the "Public sector and student government as part of the Ukrainian society" Third International Scientific Student Conference held at the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. The student governments of the 18 Oblasts of Ukraine and three representatives of student organizations from Canada gathered to share their thoughts, new ideas and solve some problems. The representatives of our University were the students of Ukrainian Philology Department Iryna Bolshakova, Anna Denysyuk and the student of Physical Training Department Vladyslav Musyka.

The first day of the student representative event began with the opening of the international conference, and over the next three days the students worked in the sections in different areas. They discussed the role of the student government in the protection of students' rights and eliminating the corruption in the higher education; spoke about the competitiveness of university graduates and the first job search. The delegates spoke of the role of the public sector and the student government as a part of the Ukrainian society, reviewed the system of student government in the context of European integration trends in the civil society. The delegates expressed their student opinions on the perspective of the reforms in higher education, the essence of which, in their opinion, is in providing quality education and development of student mobility (in its prospects as the USPU students were convinced).

The conference also included the annual Congress of the National Student Union during which the participants heard a report on the activities of the National Student Union during the 2013-2014 academic year and choose a new asset of the organization. The conference program also included a lot of different excursions around the University and the city. The student youth also had the opportunity to visit the Mariysk spiritual center in the village of Zarvanytsya. A collection of reports and presentations was issued on the basis of the Third International Scientific Student Conference.
