Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University met International Student Sports Day with significant achievements and is proud of its students who became champions and owners of World and European Cups, Prize-winners of International competitions: they won 72 gold, 55 silver and 59 bronze awards.

The grand event - a holiday of physical culture and sports, youth and a healthy lifestyle - was held this day at the sports ground of the Pavlo Tychyna USPU with the support of the university administration, headed by Rector Oleksandr Bezliudnyi.

Under the slogan "Healthy youth is the strength of the nation", USPU students supported the All-Ukrainian flash mob, that showed their unity and sport spirit - they performed 22 push-ups from the floor. Student youth was enthusiastic in competitions in 6 types of sports: dragging a rope, arm wrestling, kicking soccer ball to accuracy, dart, cross Fit, multiple bench press. Highlight of the event was a demonstrative performance of acrobats Aliona Balakleyeva, Anna Artemenko, Jana Gontarenko. There was Olga Remez the head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Uman City Council among the guests at the sports festival. She expressed sincere gratitude to the university for close cooperation and handed the letters to the teachers of the Physical Education Department for active participation in the sports life of the city. The Head of the trade union committee of the USPU Valentin Khytruk prepared gifts for the winners of the competition.

Natalia Revniuk, Vice-Rector for Humanitarian Affairs had honorary mission of awarding the best athletes on behalf of the rector of the USPU. Honored awards were given to boys and girls of all departments who glorify the university on the sports grounds of Cherkasy region, Ukraine and the World. The pride of the University is the world record holder among students, the multiple winner and winner of the Championships and Cups of Ukraine, the World Champion and Europe, Master of Sports of Ukraine in weight sports Valentin Khmiliovyi, who was awarded the title "Best University Athlete". Supporting the youth in her quest for the Olympic peaks is the strategic direction of the university work.
