In the assembly hall of the new building of the university were held solemn academy and the meeting of the university academic council. In the entrance hall as organized an exhibition of scientific achievements by lecturers of the university, the members of the events were well prepared.

The meeting was headed by first pro-rector, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Andriy Gedzyk; he congratulated his colleagues on their scientific achievements and delivered them certificates: diploma of doctor of pedagogical sciences – to Iryna Kucherenko, certificate of professor – to Natalia Koliada.

Diplomas of candidate of pedagogical sciences received Galyna Avchinnikova, Maryna Kugay, Natalia Levchenko, Ruslan Maslyuk, Alyona Solodchuk, Natalia Shulga.

Certificates of assistant professor got Natalia Biloshkurska, Ilona Boychevska, Svitlana Bondar, Galyna Gonchar, Galyna Gordienko, Vira Kalabska, Maria Medvedeva, Oleksandr Melnyck, Galyna Osipchuk, Victoria Polekhina, Oksana Shevchuk, Vasyl Semenchuk, Olena Skrypnyck, Olga Sushkevych, Galyna Tkachuk, Iryna Khlystun, Natalia Gryniova, Andriy Yablonskiy, Iryna Yakymchuk.

Representatives of the university administration congratulated their colleagues and wished them further success, as their success means success of the university.

Activities of PhD and Doctorate Studies Department, Institute of researchers, scientific schools and scientific investigations are directed towards training of good quality of skilled personnel. This work is very productive and effective.

In 2015 finished their studies 30 PhD students, 8 of them had their defense ahead of time. In the period under review 36 dissertations of candidate of sciences and 1 dissertation of doctor of sciences were defended. This was mentioned in the report “On the results of scientific activity of the university in 2015 and tasks for 2016”, made by V. Sokyrska – pro-rector in scientific work and international collaboration. Vladylena Volodymyrivna dedicated third of her report to future tasks: she analyzed the scientific and technical activity of Pavlo Tychyna USPU oriented towards realization of state policy in education and science, national strategy of science, education and market integration, scientific and pedagogical personnel training, competitiveness of the university in the sphere of scientific investigations.

Doctor of pedagogical sciences, head of Pedagogy and Educational Management Chair, professor Oleksandr Kobernyck joined the discussion of the report and marked positive changes in development of the university science. Oleksandr Mykolayovych emphasized the activities of recently open scientific and advisory centre.

Their reports made candidate of philological sciences, coordinator in international activity, innovations and international cooperation Olga Sushkevych, candidate of philological sciences, director of the library Tetyana Grygorenko, candidate of pedagogical sciences, doctorate Valentyna Kushnir.

At the academic council were confirmed candidates of students for nominal and personal scholarships according to results of winter session for 2 semester 2015/2016 academic year, and plan of buildings and hosts of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University repair for 2016.

It was concluded to discuss intermediate report in scientific activity of the university at the chairs of the university in April and May 2016.
