On the 6th-7th of April within the framework of state budget theme “Technologies of Central Pobuzhia small rivers improvement of sanitary conditions and the youth attraction to nature protecting work” (head – professor Svitlana Sovhira) scientific and practical expedition with the assistance of Polish-Ukrainian-Slovakian fund of helping the gifted youth “Fraternity” Mr.’s Vladyslav Krejchi took place.

The participants of scientific and practical expedition aimed at finding reasons and consequences of landscape complexes degradation in Haysin region and finding sources of hydrologic preserve “Cascade of Sources”. The expedition joined scientists of the laboratory “Ecology and Education” at USPU (Ihor Krasnoshtan, Svitlana Lyulenko, Natalia Dushechkina, Roman Podzerey), head of Stepashky village council Vasyl Shestopal and a state inspector of environmental protection in Vinnytsia State Ecology Inspection Yaroslav Shestopal.

During the expedition a small river Aphia (tributary of Pivdenniy Buh) has been investigated, its ecology state, influence of economic activities on its basin, recommendations to improve its sanitary conditions were given.

8 sources have been found, investigated and put into the map.

For the moment urgent is decision of the village council on creation of the of hydrologic preserve “Cascade of Sources”.

In perspective is collaboration with Vladyslav Krejchi in experience exchange between Polish and Ukrainian ecologists.
