"Ecology and Education” Research Laboratory at the Nature and Geography Department at USPU organized and conducted an expedition to study the possibility of introducing alternative energy sources in Haysin city of Vinnytsia Oblast and to research the biological and landscape diversity of the central Pobuzzhya. This event was a part of the state budget theme "Integrating technology of greening and energy in educational institutions and encouraging the young people to save the natural resources."

As part of the cooperation agreement between the Institute of Agroecology and Environment of NAAS of Ukraine and Pavlo Tychyna USPU the environmental laboratory staff, teachers of Nature and Geography Department, graduate students guided by Yevgenia Tkach, the head of the laboratory of the Institute of Agroecology and Environment of NAAS, Ph.D., joined the expedition.

During the study, the scientists researched the ecological state of coniferous and mixed forests, biodiversity transformation under the influence of anthropogenic factors, change of forest steppe flora into the steppe.
