An unusual Master degree thesis defense of Svitlana Buckeye, the 4 year student of Nature and Geography Department (supervisor - Associate Professor Anna Goncharenko) was taking place on May 20 in the Ladyzhyn reservoir. The thesis defense attended by the members of the State Examination Commission and the Department teachers was held at the "Huysyn fish breeding" regional company. The student adequately presented the results and proved the scientific novelty of the research.

Yevgenia Tkach, the Head of Laboratory of Environmental Assessment of Agricultural Technologies and Biodiversity of Agroecosystems National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Candidate of Biological Sciences, made a remarkable speech.

After the thesis defense the reviewer presented the Certificates on the professional holiday (Day of Science) for professionalism and fruitful cooperation with National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine to Associate Professors Svitlana Sovgira and Anna Goncharenko, for their achievements in science and organizational activity, on behalf of Orest Furdychko, the Director of the Institute of Agroecology and Environmental Usage at NAAS of Ukraine, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences. The presentation was attended by the staff and graduate students of Geography Department headed by the Dean Ruslan Yakymchuk.

Today, the Nature and Geography Department at USPU closely cooperates with Institute of Agroecology and Environmental Usage at NAAS of Ukraine, the scientific research institution, unit of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. It is believed to be an efficient cooperation.
