On the 3rd of February was held scientific and methodological seminar “Theory and practice of preparation to external independent assessment in the Ukrainian Language and Literature”, organized by Ukrainian Philology Department of USPU together with Interdepartmental Scientific and Research Centre of Applied Linguistics and Vinnytsia Humanitarian and Pedagogical College. At the seminar were discussed theoretical, methodological and psychological aspects of preparation to external independent assessment in the Ukrainian Language and Literature.

In the seminar participated specialists in preparation to EIA of Uman regional education department, school directors and teachers of Uman, Monastyrysche, Talne, Khrystynivka, Uman and Khrystynivka district at Cherkassy region, Novgorodka district at Kirovograd region, lecturers at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Maksym Tank Byelorussian State Pedagogical University, Vinnytsia humanitarian and pedagogical college, Tulchyn Cultural Vocational School.

The welcoming speech made pro-rector in scientific and pedagogical work, candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Olena Kirdan and dean of Ukrainian Philology Department, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Valentyna Koval.

The contemporary state and perspectives of EIA revealed candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor, assistant rector Svitlana Tsymbal-Slatvinska.

Problematic aspects of preparation to EIA in the Ukrainian Language and Literature were discussed during the seminar. On this matters their experience shared candidate of philological sciences, assistant professor at Ukrainian Language and its Teaching Methods Chair at Pavlo Tychyna USPU Inna Shevchuk, candidate of philological sciences, head of Ukrainian Philology Chair at Vinnytsia humanitarian and pedagogical college Olena Pokhylyuk, lecturer at Ukrainian Literature, Ukrainian Ethnography and their Teaching Methods Chair at Pavlo Tychyna USPU Natalia Zarudniak, teacher-methodologist, head of methodological cabinet of education department at Uman City Council Inna Trokhymenko, teacher of the Ukrainian Language and literature, teacher-methodologist, teacher of higher category at Uman city gymnasium Valentyna Molokanova, teacher of the Ukrainian Language of higher category, senior teacher at Uman general educational school of I-III grades № 9 Vira Kovalenko, teacher of the Ukrainian Language and Literature, teacher of higher category at Starobabanivska general educational school I-III grades at Uman Regional Council Valentyna Morozova, teacher of the Ukrainian Language and Literature at Kochubiivka general educationa school of I-III grades Oksana Bulekhovets, teacher of the Ukrainian Language and Literature, senior teacher, teacher of higher category at Uman general educational school of I-III grades № 4 Tetyana Suvorova.

All the present participated in discussion of recommendations for successful EIA passing by minimum prepared entrants.
