On October, 23 there was opened the first in Ukraine scientific and methodological centre “National and Linguistic Personality Development in Terms of Continuing Education”. This is the first scientific and methodological centre in our university, which works under the aegis of Ukrainian Language Training Laboratory of Ukrainian NAPS Institute of Pedagogics. The work of the centre has begun under the constant support of recorate, deans of Ukrainian Philology Department, Primary Education Department, Pre-school Education Department. It is headed by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lidiya Mamchur.

The festive opening visited famous in Ukraine and abroad scientists: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Alla Bohush (State establishment “K. Ushynsky Southern Ukraine National Pedagogical University, head of Theory and Methodology of Pre-school Education Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mykola Vashulenko (Oleksandr Dovzhenko Gluhiv National Pedagogical University, head of Theory and Methodology of Primary Education Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mariya Pentylyuk (Kherson State University, head of Chair of Linguistics), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lyubov Matsko (M. Dragomanov Kyiv National Pedagogical University, head of Ukrainian Language Stylistics), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ivan Homiak (“Ostrozka Academy” National University, head of Ukrainian Language and Literature Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Stanislav Karaman (Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, head of Ukrainian Language Chair), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Assistant Professor Oksana Kucheruk (Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University).

The activity of scientific and methodological centre includes attraction of professors, university teachers and lecturers, postgraduate students, students for master degrees, students, school teachers, and educators to scientific and methodological national and linguistic personality development problem investigation in Ukraine. The centre will carry out scientific investigations in theory and practice of Ukrainian language training; reveal urgent linguistic and didactic problems in personal communicative competency formation for educators, primary education teachers, Ukrainian language teachers and HEI teachers in terms of continuing education.
