At the Primary Education Department of our university functions a laboratory “Problems of Rural Primary School”. The laboratory is headed by director of Professional Methods and Innovation Technologies at Primary School Chair, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Olga Komar. The laboratory was found in 1996 on the basis of Primary Education Department. During this period, lecturers, members of the laboratory keep in touch with rural schools teachers, methodologists of Uman regional and city educational departments, Mankivka, Gaisyn, and Ulianivka educational departments.

Annually, on the basis of the laboratory “Problems of Rural Primary School” is published methodical collection “Pedagogical Kaleidoscope”, in which works of our university lecturers, primary school teachers of Uman, Uman region and neighbour regions are published. In the beginning of 2015 was published a new issue of the collection “Pedagogical Kaleidoscope” № 7. Olga Anatoliivna says, “We’ve found this collection with the aim to help teachers of rural schools and university students. So, some teachers have shared their experience, their professional achievements”.

The collection is popular among students, lecturers, young scientists, as they use schemes of the lessons at practical courses, analysis of lessons; students use the collection when writing course papers, for independent work and making up reports. Young scientists have a possibility to study professionals’ experience.
