On the 26th of October 2015 took place a competition for the best room among student hostels of Pavlo Tychyna USPU. The competition was organized by student council (head – Eugenia Boroday) under support of university administration.

The aim of the competition was to improve living conditions in each room of the hostels, create safe conditions for living, study and leisure activities of students.

The best room was chosen under the following criteria:
* sanitary conditions, aesthetic design, property’s safety; order in generally used rooms, sticking to rules, activities in different hostel actions.

The competition consisted of three stages. As a result of I stage the best rooms were chosen by student’s councils and dean’s offices from each department and awarded by diplomas, sweets, etc. Among 12 rooms were defined the best which continued to fight for victory.

Head of student council Eugenia Boroday, leaders of hostels #1 and #2 Oleksandra Masurenko and Victoria Maliovana, pro-rector in scientific and pedagogical work Olena Kirdan, pro-rector in economic works Natalia Petrenko, director of student council Tetyana Kachan engineer Vitaliy Kolesnyk defined the winner during the last stage of the competition of the best rooms. The best room has been defined room #376 of the hostel 9-storeyed building where students of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Department live. The room-winner will continue competition at regional level.

It is worth mentioning that student rooms are cosy and aesthetically equipped. Some of them are creatively designed. Students have proved the fact that comfort of rooms is a source of spiritual harmony, friendly atmosphere and good mood.

The competition rewarding will be held on the 17th of November during gala concert, dedicated to International Student’s Day.
