At Social and Psychological Education Department was held regional scientific and practical seminar “Stop Violence”, dedicated to Women Violence Liquidation Day.

The aim of the seminar was to tell students about problem of women violence, active and negative position towards different kinds of violence formation. Acting head of Psychology Chair, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Nataliya Shelenkova began the seminar with welcoming speech, she informed about Women Violence Liquidation Day historical facts.

In the framework of our university collaboration with Labour and Social Protection of Citizens Administration in the seminar participated Iryna Mykolenko, head of social services coordination department of Labour and Social Protection of Citizens Administration. She revealed the statistics of family violence in Uman and explained students about necessary measures in such situations. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Assistant Professor Svitlana Zayets was talking about different kinds of violence, and made up social and psychological portrait of woman, who was a victim of violence.

Nobody was indifferent to the film “Women who are beated” shot by Ukrainian stage-director Vadym Castelli. The film depicted horrible details of life of women, who could struggle against their men’s violence.
