In the frames of "Clean Environment" Ukrainian action, USPU organized "Improvement of the educational environment" environmental action which was held on March 26 at the initiative of Svitlana Sovgira, the head of the Chair of Chemistry, Ecology and methods of teaching chemistry and ecology, Professor, and the staff of "Environment and Education" research laboratory (headed by Anna Goncharenko, Associate Professor). The 4 year students of Nature and Geography Department were participating in the action. The organizers and participants of the action felt the true support and assistance of Ruslan Yakymchuk, the Dean of the Nature and Geography Department, Associate Professor of Biology and methods of teaching biology who took an active part in conservation action.


During the action 100 seedlings of hybrid tea rose grown in the agrobiostation of the University were planted in the main academic building of the University within the framework of research theses under the guidance of Igor Krasnoshtan, the Associate Professor of Biology and methods of teaching biology.




Those environmental activities promoted the educational and scientific components of the learning process. The action was helpful to enhance the environmental awareness of students, deliver the knowledge, interesting and useful information. The students were explained the methods of splitting the lawn area into sectors, the technology of planting roses and the technique of landscape gardening.

The teachers and technicians of the Nature and Geography Department were also taking part in the action. They contributed to the preservation and rehabilitation of the environment. So thanks to the joint efforts the University grounds will bloom with flowers.
