Since April 1 Ukraine has launched "Clean environment" action. The project is focused on the idea improvement of settlements and the surrounding areas, cleaning areas, conservation of protected areas, reserves and other important areas, introduction of environmental education and, in particular, formation of the qualities such as a sense of social responsibility, indifference to the environmental sanitation.

April 9 the "Clean environment" nationwide campaign on demand of the administration of Sobkivka Forestry (forester Petro Shevchuk) conducted "Clean forests, parks and gardens" environmental campaign. The action organizers were members of the "Environment and Education" USPU research laboratory headed by Professor Svitlana Sovgira and postgraduate student Svitlana Lyulenko. The event was attended by the teachers, graduate students, students of "Predict and prevent" research group, the second year students of Nature and Geography Department and the trade union employee Larysa Dereschuk.

The purpose of the action was to improve the health of the environment, elimination of unauthorized dumps in the forests and park areas, to provide real help to the nature of our motherland. During the event, six kilometers of forest area number 4 of Sobkivka forestry were cleaned and tidied up. All the technological aspects of environmental measures were observed, from garbage collection to its transportation to the landfill. In general, 100 m3 of debris and waste were removed.
