As a result of cooperation of Pavlo Tychyna USPU, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Department of Education of the City Council of Uman and Social Services for Family, Children and Youth, a psychological support center for the victims of the peaceful actions on the Maidan and people who need extra protection and support was opened on 12 Sadova Str, 7. Mykola Grigoriev, a USPU student of Sociology and Psychology Department, works as a psychologist.


The organization is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, laws and regulations of Ukraine "About the Department of Labor and Social Security." The center deals with fundamental tasks, like providing psychological services at individual consultations for persons and families who need additional protection and assistance in difficult circumstances. The center also conducts a psychological evaluation to determine the diagnosis and offer a psychological treatment, rehabilitation and adaptation; besides, it exercises planning and methods of social work, assesses the needs of children, families and individuals, and if necessary, provides legal support for vulnerable individuals and families. The psychological assistance center is guided by the principles of human rights, humanity, law, service availability, confidentiality and respect for people.

It is the first time our University cooperates with and city services. Hopefully, it will have fruitful results and become helpful for people!
