Pavlo Tychyna USPU social project demonstration of dancing performance “Right to Live: Choreography is against alcoholism and drug addiction” was carried out at T. Shevchenko Cherkasy Regional Ukrainian Academic Musical and Dramatic Theatre on the Annunciation Day and World day of Health.

The project was embodied on the purpose of paying attention to global problems of humanity – alcoholism and drug addiction, possibility to come back to healthy way of life even in difficult situations.

The youth showed in dance the distructive power of drugs and alcohol from one side, and power of faith to gain a victory over dependence of disease from the other side. The dancing project “Right to Live” prepared fifth-year students of Arts and Pedagogics Department who study in specialty “Choreography” on the ground of real stories of people who had begun new life: they overcome alcohol and drug abuse, which had turned into disease. The project’s supervisor and stage-director is a candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor, head of Choreography and Imitative Arts Chair, director of national amateur ensemble of contemporary dance “Vizavi” Lyudmyla Androschuk.

Since last night of the performance (2014) more than 2000 people have been watched the performance and the professional staging was a great event. In the end of the 9th project’s demonstration the audience applauded and exclaimed “Bravo!”

The members of the project got unforgettable impressions from cordial reception at T. Shevchenko Cherkasy Regional Ukrainian Academic Musical and Dramatic Theatre! This is a great Theatre both on stage and behind the scenes – belive the staging participators. They were moved and impressed by cordiality, culture, tolerance, professionalism, actors… There was incredible atmosphere of unattainable art’s sacrament…
