On the International Day of peace in the assembly hall of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was held a presentation of a book “Words Shots”, in which participated USPU students and lecturers, Uman writers, city’s librarians, soldiers of ATO.

In the beginning of the meeting heroes of Sky Hundred and perished ATO soldiers were commemorated.

Sofia Krymovska, an Uman poet, member of Literary Union “LITo” told about the selection of works to the book.

A head of Literary Union “LITo”, writer, public figure Nina Myhailova made a speech on importance of the selected works for patriotic education.

The book includes texts about events at Maidan, a war, which is officially called ATO, heroism of our soldiers, women and mother’s grieve, Cossack’s fame in ancient time and today. There are contradictious facts in the book and a reader should access them alone.

The selected works includes prose and poetry by 34 country fellows, who agreed to participate in writing a book about Maidan, events in the East of Ukraine, soldiers in ATO, volunteers and all the heroes of our time.

Among the authors are citizens of Uman, those who study or work in Uman, and who had to move from Donbas to Uman, i.e. professor of Uman National University of Gardening Yuriy Kyseliov.

The book includes works of authors from Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University. Among them: candidate of philosophical sciences, professor, head of Social Sciences Chair Anatoliy Karasevych, lecturer at Ukrainian Literature and Ethnography Chair Maryna Pavlenko, Ukrainian child writer Oksana Luschevska (graduated from USPU in 2004), Sofia Krymovska (master student at Ukrainian Philology Department), Anastasia Podbitova-Yanina (graduated Ukrainian Philology Department in 2013), Oleksandr Shaboldov, Snizhana Shutko (this year graduates), Yevgen Romanchuk, Anna Sereda, Tetyana Zhvava (students of Ukrainian Philology epartment), Viacheslav Yaremenko (student of Nature and Geography Department.

During presentation the poems were recited by Sofia Krymovska, Anatoliy Karasevych, Lyudmyla Sytnik, Yuriy Kyseliov, Olena Khrypun, Tetiana Almuzhna and Nina Myhailova.

The book “Words Shots” was loved by readers and audience. Some of the poems were recited by students of a theatre “Golden Key” at Uman Palace of Culture – Yelyzaveta Cherepniova, Oleksiy Kravchuk and Yulia Rasulova.
