On August 23, 2023, the main coordinator of the project «Academies4Ukraine - Strengthen Higher Education resilience in Ukraine and European Union» (Erasmus+ KA220-HED Program - Cooperation partnerships in higher education) Gianluca Vagnarelli (startup company «I-STRATEGIES» (Italy)) held a preparatory meeting with partners: Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Kherson State University, Odesa National Technological University, Helsingin Yliopisto, Rigas Tehniska Universitate.

The goal of the project is to strengthen support for Ukrainian higher education institutions, help in creating psychological, social and cultural support services for integration into the European Union for Ukrainian students who fled the war.

The working group of the USPU in the consisting of Volodymyr Mykolaiko - vice-rector for international relations and strategic development, Kateryna Ilnytska - head of the international relations department, Maksym Slatvinskyi - director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Economics and Business Education, Iryna Kyrylшuk - project manager participated in the discussion of further steps for the successful implementation of the project's goals, including:

1) creation of conditions for the adaptation of Ukrainian students in the war and post-war period;

2) recording and popularizing the experience of the Ukrainian educational community in the confrontation and struggle for independence and peace;

3) strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the EU through the implementation of joint educational projects.
