April Fool's Day at our University was celebrated with the first round game of the Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-Witted. It was the Rector cup of the USPU. The games took place on the 1st and the 2d of April. The 6 teams participated in the first play-off game: "Be quiet during the lesson!" (Physics and Mathematics Department), "Positive reaction" (Natural Sciences and Geography Department), "Maximum" (Technology and Pedagogics Department), "Spice Girls” (Primary Education Department), "Black Square" (Arts and Pedagogics Department) and "Super nurses" (Primary Education Department). Despite the fact that it was the first game for all the teams everyone showed a pretty good result. The warm-up was particularly successful and it is rare because it is one of the most challenging tasks. The "Be quiet during the lesson!" team (Physics and Mathematics Department) was the winner.

The second play-off game round took place on the 2d of April. Five teams were participating: “We saved some!" (Economics Department), "Hibiscus" (Sociology and Psychology Department), "Crazy embroidery" (Ukrainian Philology Department), "The fourth Floor" (Foreign Languages Department), "Histfac" (History Department). It was a real battle of the titans because most of the teams were already experienced. Each of them showed a great potential and skill. “We saved some!" (Economics Department) really impressed everyone and became the winner of the game.

It was a hard task for the jury to determine the finalists. Yet the following teams were most successful: "Be quiet during the lesson!" (Physics and Mathematics Department), “Positive reaction" (Natural Sciences and Geography Department), “We saved some!" (Economics Department), "Hibiscus" (Sociology and Psychology Department) and "Histfac" (History Department).
