85 students of Foreign Languages Department became participants of educational language experiment, because our university has begun piloting a new programme on English Teaching Methodology. The project is carried out according to the order of MES of Ukraine "On Conducting of Educational Experiment on Methodical Trainaing of Future Teachers of English" and to implement a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council in Ukraine "New Generation School Teacher" in 2016-2017.

Participants of the experiment are the 2nd year students of the Foreign Languages Department, which are studied by the training programme of "Philology. Language and Literature (English)". Such an experienced lecturers of English Language and Methods of its Teaching Chair as associate professors Alla Hembaruk and Olena Bevz and the lecturer Oleksandr Slobodianyk provide the course of study. They are the developers and collaborators of a joint project of MES of Ukraine and the British Council in Ukraine "New Generation School Teacher".

Teaching of Methodology is carried out in English, based on person-centered approach and interactive methods and work techniques. This work includes teaching based on communicative tasks, using case studies, simulations, group projects, problem solving etc. This approach promotes the autonomy of students awareness of their own responsibility for the results of his study and aimed at competencies formation.

The new programme provides closely relations between mothodology cource and practices at school. Therefore, future teachers acquire practical experience in school as observers, working under the guidance of experienced teachers of English and doing specifically chosen tasks for each module.

The new program introduces significant changes to the organization of training teachers of English. Implementation of these changes takes time and patience. We hope that the implementation of the first stage of educational experiment will be successful.
