At Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University in assistance with Social and Psychological Education Department and educational department at Uman Regional Administration started a new project “Paternal University”, which is aimed at society’s attention concentration on actual problem of parents and children relationships, “family upbringing” problem solving.

The organizersof the project: head of psychological service at Uman Regional Administration Tetyana Baraniuk, head of educational department at Uman regional Council Borys Bondar, dean of Social and Psychological Education Department Oksana Humeniuk, specialist in educational methods Tetyana Pechionkina support innovative methods and approaches in educational, educative activity, interaction and collaboration between school and university, collaboration of parents, teachers, lecturers and children.

At the plenary meeting, which was open by prorector in educational work Olena Kirdan, the participants got to know how to use psychological and pedagogical practices in work with children.

On the youth preparation for independent life was talking Svitlana Zaets in her report (she also paid attention to peculiarities of the entrance campaign 2016).

Psychological peculiarities of child preparing to adult life revealed Larysa Danylevych.

The theme of responsible parenthood touched Svitlana Roenko.

School and family partnership: possibilities of collaboration explained a deputy head of Yurkivka School Lyudmyla Diachuk.

Psychological aspects of EIA passing explained Yulia Hychko.

Hopefully, the project “Paternal University” would be further developed and become a centre of innovations in education and upbringing of children, promoting mutual understanding between them parents and teachers.
