On 5-12 June 2024, Kateryna Ilnitska, Head of the International Relations Department, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics and Integrative Technologies for Teaching Natural Sciences, took part in the International Summer School organised for representatives of international activities of Higher Education Institutions. The school's programme was rich and diverse, as meetings with employees responsible for international and project activities and university researchers contributed to the development of the leadership potential of the school participants. The school participants visited the faculties of the University: the Faculty of Geography and Geology, the Faculty of Physics, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. It is worth noting the high technological level of equipment in the educational laboratories, which allows for complex scientific and educational experiments.
The next stage of the Summer School was to get acquainted with the specifics of the work of the deans' offices, the material and technical base and the organisation of the educational process of these structural units. Separate visits were devoted to studying the work of faculty libraries and reading rooms, museums, sports and leisure infrastructure of the university.
The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan is not only a reliable partner of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, but also demonstrates its deep solidarity with Ukraine. Thus, the AMU Welcome Centre hosts events aimed at helping foreign students, including those from Ukraine, to improve their communication and adaptation. As part of the Summer School programme, the participants joined the Ukrainian Networking Event. The programme included a networking session, team-building games, and food tasting.
In general, the Summer School programme included not only an educational and scientific component: the participants had the opportunity to visit places of historical memory and interesting excursions conducted by the students of Adam Mickiewicz University as part of their internship. After summing up the results of the internship, the participants received international certificates, and participation in the Summer School became an important element of gaining valuable experience, acquaintance with modern capabilities of science, technology and organisation of the educational process.
