In nowadays difficult and dramatic for our country situation arts and art creators are involved in social events. It’s not strange, as arts always have a big influence on society’s spiritual state. Creative Ukrainians organize with devotion artistic fronts in order to propagandize everything which is Ukrainian. Our university students do it too. Thus, on the 22nd of February there was held a cultural and educational event “Artistic Front” (“A Course for Ukrainian”).

Similarly to a knife, by word you can touch people’s soul, and by music – to unite people. These means were used by the artistic event organizers – student council and literary studio of History Department “Poetic Clio”.

With such a cosy and creative atmosphere, the young people demonstrated their own talents in poetry, music, painting, photo by popularization of Ukrainian arts.

The artistic front was open by a talented musician’s performance from Vinnytsia Sviatoslav Gnatenko. He performed famous Ukrainian and author songs.

The real present for those who like poetry was the declamation of one more guest from Vinnytsia Maksym Riazantsev – member of literary group “Heart’s inversion”, laureate of All-Ukrainian contests “2014 Pegasus Horseshoe”, “2012 Malachite Rhino”.

The event was prolonged, holding a course for Ukrainian. Members of the artistic fron remembered a famous patriot, talented Ukrainian musician Kuzma Skriabin, who died in the beginning of February. He was a unique artist, brave in communication, active in his life. His death was a big loss for Ukrainian culture. In order to commemorate Andriy Kuzmenko, Yaroslav Tkachuk has performed several songs of the band “Skriabin”.

Student of Arts and Pedagogics Department Olena Roshko showed some of her works, among them a portrait of Kuzma Skriabin. Most of a talented student’s works are graphic arts, some of them - sketches.

The most unexpected part of the event was “Poetic battles”. Young poets from Uman and the other cities demonstrated their skills in rhyming. There were 16 applications from poets, but to the final came only 3 best particcipators. The jury hesitated as each of the candidates was strong, emotional and unique.

As a result of audience voting, the winners of “Poetic battles” became: Uman citizen Veronica Vyshynska (III place), our university student Yuriy Chornyi (II place) and a guest from Gaisyn Sergiy Buria (I place), who were very energetic.

At the event there was an exhibition of photo and picture works of talanted Ukrainian. Communication with art was held in the atmosphere of love to Ukrainian language, songs and painting.
