From May 26 to June 1 the students of Nature and Geography Department at USPU headed by Professor Svitlana Sovgira and the practice supervisors Roman Podzerey and Svitlana Lyulenko had an integrated learning practice in general ecology and zoology in the Carpathian Mountains. The city of Kalush was selected for that purpose. The students studied the types of ecosystems of mountain areas and their functioning. Every day was marked by various journeys, outbound routes and mountain climbing. A rich and multifaceted educational content and practical application in the pearl of Ukraine – the Carpathian region has provided students with the necessary factual material that has to be compiled. At the same time, the practice was an opportunity to utilize the knowledge they have obtained, and this was their ultimate goal. A combination of knowledge and practice in one of the most picturesque places of the country offered the University students great benefits and aesthetic pleasure. They conquered Mount Goverla for the first time, and sang the anthem of Ukraine there.
