"Echoes of the January uprising in Uman district" exhibition of copies of documents dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Polish national liberation uprising of 1863 - 1864 took place on November the 13th at the Municipal Cultural Center in Lancut (Poland) which celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The exhibition was organized by the History Department and Polish cultural and educational center of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, the "Stara Uman" State Historical and Architectural Reserve, Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast State Archives with support of the Embassy of Poland in Ukraine.

The pupils of Lancut schools got an opportunity to watch a movie about the history of Uman and listen to the lectures about the January Uprising on the territory of Ukraine by Igor Kryvosheya, the Head of the Chair of world history and law at USPU.

An exhibition will be opened in the cities of Gniezno and Kurniku in a few days. Those are the sister cities of Uman.
