City Project “Academy of the Youth Leadership-2016” has come to an end. Three-month results of the project’s work have been summed up. The youth project was found the year before by mayor of the city of Uman.

20 students from 10 higher educational establishments of the city have been participating this year in the “Academy”. Students-leaders had an opportunity to get to know about executive bodies’ experience of work and participate in management the work of administrations, departments, services of Uman City Council. As a diploma paper, each participant of the “Academy” made up a project “If I were a mayor”, in which students presented their own vision of the city development.

According to assessment by commission of experts, the following students presented the best projects: Yulia Pokholiuk (I place) and Yevhen Foros (III place). The winners got the financial prize.

“Only together we can change life for better! Uman will become for sure a prosperous, European city, a touristic and cultural centre of Ukraine”, said the winner of the project Yulia Pokholiuk.

All the students, who had been participating in the project “Academy of the Youth Leadership-2016”, were rewarded by certificates and presents by a mayor Oleksandr Tsebriy.

As a result of “Academy of the Youth Leadership-2016”:

• two graduating students became assistants of the city council’s representatives;

• one student works at the city economic development department;

• creative, talented and purposeful youngsters were invited to work at enterprises “Old Uman”, “TIM” and “AMARANT”.
