The nationwide weight lifting competition among the students of higher educational institutions of Ukraine took place in the village of Chkalovo Nikopol Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Valentyn Khmilyoviy, the first year student of Physical Training Department took part in the competitions and won the first place in the weightlifting in the category up to 70 kg. Valentyn has also been selected to the national team of Ukraine to participate in the fourth world championship in weight lifting among students (held from 5 to 10 June 2014 in Lyon, France).
