The city championship in atletics was held this month at “Umanfermmash” stadium. In the competition participated sportsmen of city HEI, colleges, vocational schools, child and youth sport school. Each participator had a right to take part in 2 kinds of programme and relay race 4x100 m.

Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was represented by 29 sportsmen.

We are proud of our third year student Yevgeniy Biley from the Physical Training Department set up a record on the distance of 200 m with the result 22,9 seconds and 100 m with the result 11.2 seconds.

It should be noted that USPU students Oleksandr Voiku, Tetyana Chornokozynska, Ilona Zaika and Valentyna Kharchenko also improved their results.

The productive work of trainers Tetyana Osadchenko, Andriy Semenov, Volodymyr Komar gave a possibility to reach good results in uneasy struggle. The students won 21 prize places and became the best in the city. The next competitions will be held in December in Cherkasy where our students will defend honour of our university. Sportsmen have regular training in order to show good results, but they don’t forget about studies. Hopefully, the students will perform well and risen ranking of our university among HEI of Ukraine.
