Artem Savenko, the Student of the Sociology and Psychology Department at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University represented Ukraine at the World Cup of Martial Arts held in Yalta. These prestigious competitions hosted about 1000 participants from 12 countries. 180 athletes competed in the “full contact” kickboxing program.

Our Arterm Savenko won the first place in the fierce fighting for the top title in the 63.5 kg weight category. Congratulations to the winner! The success he has achieved is another victory of Ukrainian sportsmen that is worth mentioning. The student was in the team of the famous and prominent athletes of our University confirming the prestige of the institution with sporting glory.

After returning from Yalta Artem was congratulated in his home by the University friends, students and teachers. Natalia Pobirchenko, the University Rector warmly congratulated the student famous all over Ukraine. The Rector was interested in the process and manner of his trainings as well as some details of the sporting life of Artem and how he worked towards the gold medal. The athlete says that now beside the study his attention is focused on preparations for the World Championship in kickboxing which will be held on November the 20th in Antalya (Turkey).
