On Ukrainian Cossacks Day in Uman self-defence educational centre (on the territory of former army unit) took place patriotic and sports event “No End to Cossacks Kin”. In the event took part Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University team consisted of 10 members.

Except our students in the sports and athletics meeting participated representatives of the other educational establishments: shools, colleges, universities – in totality more than 150 participators. The competition was held in such kinds of sports: grenade throwing, rope pulling, running, weight pushing. Everybody had a possibility to try Cossacks kulish.

According to the competition results our university took first place among HEI team results. In the personal competition our students also took first places: grenade throwing – Andriy Kovalskiy, first place (60 m.), Andriy Okuniovskiy, third place (49 m.), rope pulling – Oleg Legin, first place (75 times), Valentyn Khmilioviy, second place (65 times), Andriy Morochynets, third place (64 times).
