The project initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council in Ukraine in the city of Chornomorsk included the training program for the members of the working group. Our University was represented by Oksana Zabolotna, the coordinator of international activities of USPU, Professor of the Department of Foreign Language Practice, Alla Hembaruk, Assistant of the Dean of the Foreign Languages Department on Humanitarian and Social Development Issues, Associate Professor of the English language and the methods of teaching of the English language, and Olena Bevz, Assistant of the Dean of the Foreign Languages Department on teaching practice, Senior lecturer of the Department of the English language and methods of teaching of the English language.


The coordinators of this project were Viktoriya Ivanyscheva and Olexandr Shalenko. The Ministry was represented by Oksana Kovalenko, Chief Specialist of the Department of Secondary and Primary Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences was represented by Valeriy Red'ko, Head of laboratory of teaching of foreign languages. Extremely valuable was the discussion of current problems in school teaching of foreign languages which was attended not only by the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences but also by the methodologists of the regional institutes of postgraduate education.



We hope that this partnership will ensure the success of the "School teacher of the new generation" project and offer the Ukrainian youth a great opportunity to master several languages.
