Last week, the delegation of Cherkasy Oblast headed by Sergiy Tulub, the Head of the Administration and Valeriy Chernyak, the Head of the Oblast Council visited Ivano-Frankivsk to prepare for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. Thus, there has been "Kobzar unites Ukraine" move which is going to engage all the country over time. Suchlike visits take place throughout the year in each Oblast of Ukraine.

The following honorable people of Cherkasy Oblast also participated in the delegation: Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, famous art groups and artists of our Oblast - "Verbena" trio, "ROSAVA" Cherkassy Philharmonic Ensemble, Olexandr Telizhenko, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Olga Gladun, the Director of the Oblast Art Museum.


Signing the Ivano-Frankivsk Agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Cherkasy and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast State Administration and Oblast Councils was a notable event. "I am convinced that the Agreement signed will boost the potential of our Oblasts, strengthen the friendship and cooperation between our country people", said Sergey Tulub. Speaking about the country of and Taras and Bogdan in the Prykarpattya, Sergiy Borysovych stressed that Cherkasy Oblast always focuses on the development and preservation of its culture, it is ready for effective cooperation in preparation for the celebration of the anniversary of our prominent countryman. "Kobzar - is the core that can now unite all of Ukraine", said the Head of the Oblast State Administration.



During the business trip the artists of Cherkasy demonstrated their creative achievements in the local Philharmonic to the residents of Prykarpattya. The delegation of the the Cherkasy Oblast also visited the Carpathian National University named after V. Stefanik. Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of USPU, made the first step towards cooperation between the Universities. During the conversation with the Rector of the Carpathian National University, Natalia Pobirchenko showed her appreciation of the research projects presented by the Carpathians and noted that there are also outstanding researches conducted in Uman.

"I think the exchange of experiences is very interesting and useful for our students in the development of projects, and we will work toward the establishment of inter-university relations," said the Rector of USPU.
