Recently, choreographers team of USPU has won in First inter-university student Olympiad in specialty “Choreography”, which was held in Odessa. Today they have won again! Students of specialty “Music Arts” achieved good results at II International festival-competition “Music Pearls”, which was held in Southern Palmyra.

In the nomination “National Instruments” our university was represented by: national instrumental ensemble “Aquarelle” (art director – Vira Kalabska), trio “Serbian Star” (Art Director – Olena Ustymenko-Kosorich) consisting of Yovan Drmanich, Oleksandr Georgevich and Darko Markovich.

In the nomination “Classical Vocal” performed the youth chamber choir of students and lecturers at Department of Arts (director – lecturer Oksana Prokulevych) with their own program, including a fragment from “A Mass for Peace” and Ukrainian national song “I’ll excavate a mountain” (working up by Oleksandr Nekrasov).

The soloist, the youth chamber choir and creative groups of Instrumental Performances Chair received a rank of laureates of I degree.

The laureates of International competition are grateful to the university administration, in particular, rector Oleksandr Besludniy, dean of Department of Arts Leonid Yatlo, head of Instrumental Performances Chair Olena Ustymenko-Kosorich, head bookkeeper of the university Olena Arepieva, head of Culture and Leisure Activities Centre “Gaudeamus” Lyudmyla Gekaliuk for their support and help in preparation to competition.
