With the beginning of winter begin wonders owing to merry and bright holiday – New Year’s Day! Matinnes with heroes from fairy tales, concerts and performances are organized specially for children.

At our university there were organized three kinds of matinee – for children of pre-school age, for children of soldiers in ATO, and for pupils of the second form of Uman general educational school № 11, on the basis of which students have had their probation period.

Every year children are amazed by performances of Theatre of Drama and Comedy (theatre’s stage director is Natalia Alekseeva). This year was not an exception. The scenario for the holiday was prepared long time before the holiday. The director of the theatre picked up parts for each participator of the theatre group.

The New Year’s event was especially merry and bright owing to Father Frost – a student of Professional and Technology Education Department Oleksandr Rumiantsev and Snow Maiden – a student of Primary Education Department Natalia Alekseeva. By their appearance children were very glad.

The event was open by 2 funny clowns, played by Valeria Chornenka and Anna Grom (Preschool and Correction Education Department).

After the small audience came into a fairy tale “Snow King”. The parts of this tale were performed by Vitaliy Slobodianyck (Ukrainian Philology Department), Olena Dihtiaruck (Primary Education Department), Bogdan Moroz (Primary ducation Department), Anastasia Nakonechna (Professional and Technology Education Department), Valeria Tinkova (Ukrainian Philology Department), Vladyslav Petrenko, Andriy Boroday (Physical Training Department), Anastasia Sichka (Ukrainian Philology Department), Antonina Kunytska, and her daughters – Diana Gorych (Primary Education Department), Igor Zelinskiy (Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Department, Maryna Tyutya (Primary Education Department).

After the fairy tale, children participated in competitions an received presents from the university trade union committee. The head of the university, assistant professor Oleksandr Osadchiy and his deputy head Inna Babiy thanked the artists for the concert program and good mood.

A special holiday actors created for children of soldiers from ATO! There were not much children but the celebration was gay and merry. Father Frost treated the children to the candies. Teachers and parents thanked the university administration and the actors for organization of such a holiday and their support of volunteer movement.

Sunny energy of the holidays transformed into positive emotions and good mood. It was a pleasure to see happy children, hear them laughing and taking pleasure!
