"The vital problems of Ukrainian culture and language and speech" third Ukrainian scientific and practical conference organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukrainian Language Institute, National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences Ukraine, and National University of Ostroh Academy took place on October 24-25 at the National University Ostroh Academy.

The conference discussed the issues of linguistics and teaching Ukrainian language. It was attended by more than 70 universities, representatives of the scientific elite of Ukraine. Participants in this important meeting were Lydia Mamchur and Iryna Kycherenko - the scientists of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.



Liubov Matscko (National Pedagogical Dragomanov University), Ivan Chomiak (National University Ostroh Academy), Nina Golub (Institute of NAPS of Ukraine), Liubov Struhanets (Ternopil National Pedagogical University), Tetiana Kotyk (Carpathian National University), Lydia Mamchur (Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University) and other prominent linguists and contemporary linguodidactics made reports at the plenary meeting.

The relevant speeches of the scientists, their lively discussion and debate took place within the framework of section "Specifics of linguistic norms of phonetics and lexicology Carpathian National University ", "Cultural and language specifics of the grammatical structure of Ukrainian language", "Priorities of the school linguistics", "Innovations of the linguistic education at the university." During the "Priorities of the school linguistics" meeting session Irina Kycherenko spoke about the goals of the modern Ukrainian language classes in the elementary school in her report.
