For the first time Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University organized the 6 month teacher – tutor training courses for organizers of Distance Learning in the Universities of III-IV accreditation levels conducted by the National University of Educational Management of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

The course objective is to improve the qualifications of the University teachers in the field of organization and implementation of distance education which is currently becoming more and more widespread in Ukraine in connection with the introduction of the European model of training the teachers with a greater focus on the independent and individual work of students.
The courses are arranged in the three stages: Stage I (20.01 - 25.01), Stage II (27.01 - 14.06) and Stage III (16.06 - 20.06). In the first stage the classes were taught by Larysa Lyahotska, the Head of the Chair of Distance Education of the National University of Educational Management of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Volodymyr Basarabov, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor of the Chair of Distance Education of the National University of Educational Management of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Andriy Lapshyn, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Chair of Distance Education of the National University of Educational Management of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (Those were the distance classes held in the form of webinars). The on-site classes were taught by Svitlana Antoshchuk and Ludmyla Kalachova, the lecturers of the Chair of Distance Education of the Institute of Open Education of the National University of Educational Management of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

On completion of the courses there will be an exam and a final work defense after which the University teachers will receive the Certificates.
