Natalia Leshchenko, the postgraduate student of English Language and methodology of teaching at USPU is studying at Jagiellonian University in Krakow on the Erasmus Mundus Ianus program. The internship will last for two semesters at the Institute of Slavic Studies and the departments of Ukrainian and Russian Studies.

Natalia speaks about her studies and shares the impressions of her stay in Poland: "The school has a long history with well-known polish and foreign professors working here. This course I take is for doctoral students of philological studies. I will work on the topic of my dissertation in the field of comparative linguistics. Participation in the Ianus program provides an excellent opportunity to conduct research and study in the best universities like Jagiellonian University which is ranked the highest among the Polish universities and one of the oldest universities in Europe.

I have the opportunity to work in the modern university library which is one of the largest and oldest ones in Poland, and also to consult the scientists, attend seminars and lectures. It is a huge advantage that I could participate in conferences of various Polish cities (eg, 14-15 of November I attended a conference at the University of Katowice), and other EU countries.

Apart from studying abroad participation in the program Ianus is also a great chance to learn the culture of other countries, obtain great experience dealing with people from all over the world.

The city of Krakow where I am honored to study is a multi-cultural capital of Poland, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. I never get tired of walking along the streets of the old town, always discovering something new, admiring the wonderful architecture. It is always nice to drink a cup of coffee in one of the cozy cafes of Krakow. It seems like the time stops and you are watching the tourists or locals hurrying somewhere.

I recommend to students and faculty of the University to participate in the program Erasmus Mundus because it is a memorable and rewarding experience".
