The International Conference "TRANSFORMATION IN UKRAINIAN EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH: GLOBAL CONTEXT" was held in USPU to exchange innovative experiences and ideas on the methodology of various scientific fields in the context of interdisciplinary research conducting.

The conference was attended by scientists, graduate students, heads of educational institutions, teachers of secondary schools, undergraduate students and all interested in the problems of transformation of Ukrainian education and research in a global context.

The conference organizers are the following: Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; British Council in Ukraine; Ukrainian Association of researchers of Education; Office of Transatlantic Mobility of Adam Mickiewicz University; Foreign Languages Department, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University; Regional Center for Teaching Foreign Languages of Foreign Languages Department of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

The Organizing Committee (Chairman - Rector of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Honored worker of Education of Ukraine Oleksandr Bezliudnyi) received 266 applications, abstracts and articles of the participants. The conference registered 266 participants, including 24 doctors, 90 Ph.D., 133 young researchers, 1 representative of the British Council in Ukraine, 1 representative of the EU project "National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine", 1 local authorities representative. The forum was attended by the scholars from Poland - 4, Armenia - 2, China - 1, England - 2, Belarus - 2, Georgia - 2, Romania - 1, Russia - 1, and Azerbaijan - 1.

Five workshops had been conducted in the conference frameworks:

As part of the conference it was summarized the five-year collaboration with a consortium of 20 universities in international projects EMINENCE (2012-2016) and EMINENCE 2 (2013-2017) and presented the report on the participation of Foreign Languages Department of USPU in a joint project of the British Council and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "New Generation School Teacher".

The conference attracted attention not only educators, but also historians, linguists, economists.

Scientific debate will be continued and the connference recomendations will be published in scientific and educational journal "Studies in Comparative Education".
