It has become a tradition to inaugurate first year students in the hostel. As far as this event is held after classes, the official elements are rejected and everything is organized in playful and joyful form.

Owing to the theatre workshop “Student” (director Tetyana Bondarchuk) this year event was theatrical. The conductor and omnipresent Paraska Nykanorivna (invented character, who could be either a woman on duty or an educator – it’s up to students imagination) created friendly atmosphere in the festival.

Jokes and comic situations made the inauguration unforgetable. The organizers aimed at everybody’s participation, therefore they organized various competitions: “Phone me, please”, “Tongue twisters”, “Newspaper”, “The quickest to eat noodles”. As Paraska Nykanorivna has noticed our student fellowship has a charecteristic feature: as a holiday begins, it ends in the same way like the previous time. On the festive day even old jokes and fables acquired new meaning and actuality. Students always liked to sing, dance, write poems and short stories. Hence, during inauguration first year students showed their best skills and talents which would only improve with time.

At the end students took an oath. To confirm students admission to the hostel, students were aspersed by water and painted with brushes. New coming lodgers promised to carry out an oath and follow the hostel’s rules.
