Forth year students (groups 2 and 3) of Natural Sciences and Geography Department, teachers of Geography and Methods of Teaching Training Chair under the guidance of professor Oksana Braslavska in the framework of teaching subject “Regional ethnography and tourism” in university trade union committee assistance took part in interschool competitions of All-Ukrainian testing game “Kotygoroshko”, which took place on the territory of Oksanyno secondary school in Uman district of Cherkassy region.

The purpose was tasks realization, mainly in fundamental activization of ethnographical and geographical researches and tourism development in specific regions of our state; creative collaboration between pedagogical staff, teachers of Geography, aspirants and students of Oksanyno secondary school in Uman district and Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

The competition participators were admitted by Oksanyno secondary school administration. Director of the school Borys Bondar told about school’s activities, its victories, in particular, about school regional ethnography and tourist circle work.

The teams testing of tourists were various. Teams’ members passed obstacle race, which included block crossing at a height, curve crossing, pendulum, “rhomb”, “lifting”, horizontal bar crossing, “butterfly”, “liana”, etc. All the stages of competition were successfully passed.

UDPU and GES (general education school) allows students to understand ethnographical and geographical tourist activity importance and stimulate moral, aesthetic, and patriotic values formation which are necessary for youth real life estimation.
