Library of USPU is a place where people of different age can satisfy there reading tastes. Everyday task of our librarians is to evolve users’ needs in obtaining knowledge, enriching intellect and erudition, formation reading interests and interest to read.

To the 85th anniversary of USPU library was held a seminar “Past. Present. Future” in which participated rector of the university, professor, doctor of pedagogical sciences Oleksandr Beslyudnyu, pro-rector in scientific and pedagogical work, assistant professor at General History Chair Vladylena Sokyrska, head of trade union committee Oleksandr Osadchyi, the city librarians, and workers of the library. The jubilee also visited veterans of library job – retired, who have been working during many years in the library, devoting it a piece of their soul and heart.

Director of the library, candidate of philological sciences Tetyana Grygorenko in her speech accentuated on unity of the library team – experience of older generation and enthusiasm of young workers, devoted to their favorite profession.

The welcoming speech made rector of the university Oleksandr Beslyudnyi, stressing on library’s mission to develop a person spiritually and the administration always supports its innovations. He delivered certificates of gratitude to Oksana Khalymonchyk, Tetyana Tkachenko, Valentyna Ustymenko, Alla Abramenko, Ganna Chernega, Galyna Brikova, Zoya Kravchuk, Olena Usatyuk, Oksana Ignatieva.

During the seminar Tetyana Tkachenko, Valentyna Ustymenko, Zoya Tkachuk and Tetyana Naykus presented work of their departments, demonstrating importance of library innovations for common activity of the team.

Attention was also paid to creative and talented students – participants in the competition “New Names in Literature” – Larysa Saulyak, Olga Chudak, Tetyana Masnyuk, Daria Rybokon, Vitalia Prokopchuk, Iryna Pryiemska. They received awards with wishes for further poetic growth and supply of energy.

Veterans of librarian profession were not forgotten. Among them Valentyna Yeremenko, Larysa Gumenyuk, Lidiya Ukhova, Nina Grygorenko, Lyudmyla Demchenko, Anna Stryzhak, Larysa Kolisnichenko – they are people who deserve respect. People were grateful for their intellectual work, wished them good health, happiness, many years of life.

Valentyna Yeremenko, who had been a director of the library for a long time, expressed her impressions on the event and nowadays library modernization.

In the end a leading bibliographer, student at History Department Vitaliya Prokopchuk declared her poem.
